Francisco Moreno is a doctoral candidate in LSU’s Management program, specializing
in OB/HR. His research explores the workplace dynamics of marginalized and underrepresented
communities, including racial, ethnic, and gender minorities, as well as individuals
facing challenges like food insecurity or criminal record-related stigma.
Francisco’s research blends quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and he maintains
an active research pipeline with papers under review at top journals such as JAP,
PPsych, and JOM.
Francisco has received awards including LSU’s Superior Graduate Student Scholarship,
the SEC’s Emerging Scholar of the Year Award, and the 2024 Academy of Management's
HR Division Dissertation Proposal Award.
As an instructor, Francisco fosters an inclusive, mentorship, and feedback-focused
learning environment and has been honored with LSU’s Reddoch Award for Outstanding
Teaching.
Francisco defended his dissertation proposal in April 2024. His dissertation aims
to enhance organizational inclusivity and offer insights and interventions to combat
bias against those with criminal records.
Teaching Interests: Principles of management, human resource management, and organizational
behavior.
Research Interests: Workplace diversity and marginalization, criminal history identity,
and work-related online practices.
