Gregory M. Bowser is president of the Louisiana Chemical Association (LCA), which represents the interests of 66 chemical manufacturing companies throughout Louisiana. He is also president of the Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance (LCIA), a partnership of Louisiana’s chemical plants, their suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
When Greg was named president of the LCA in 2016, he became the first African American in Louisiana to lead a major statewide business trade association. He is the first and only African American head of a chemical industry council in the country.
Greg has served on the boards of Baton Rouge General Health System, YMCA, Fidelity Bank, Capital Area United Way, and the Baton Rouge Area Sports Foundation. He currently serves on the board of the Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
In 2019, Greg was inducted into the Louisiana State University Alumni Hall of Distinction.
He is married to the former Adrienne Boutte’ of New Iberia. They have two children.
His hobbies are golf, tennis, fishing, sports broadcasting and hanging out with his
sons. Greg served as an analyst for Cox Sports Television broadcasting LSU Football
games for over ten years.
