Jeff is ExxonMobil Corporation’s U.S. Government Relations Manager for the Southeast Region. He is based in Baton Rouge and is responsible for state executive and legislative branch interactions in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Jeff joined ExxonMobil in 2006.
Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Jeff was vice president for government relations for the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association (LMOGA), the trade association representing the interests of the “major” integrated oil, natural gas, pipeline, and liquefied natural gas companies operating in Louisiana and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. He previously served as the government and public affairs director for the Mississippi Manufacturers Association in Jackson, Mississippi.
In addition, Jeff is a former journalist for newspapers and wire services across the Southeast and in Washington, D.C., covering primarily government and politics. He also formerly worked as a television reporter in Mississippi.
He is a member of numerous state and regional business trade associations and energy/petrochemical sector advocacy organizations across the South.
Jeff received his undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and later obtained a J.D. from the University of Tennessee’s George C. Taylor Law School. He is a member of the University of Tennessee’s College of Communication and Information’s Board of Visitors.
Jeff, his wife Lissa, and their twin sons enjoy traveling, snow skiing and other outdoor activities.
