Tyler currently serves as corporate secretary and director of corporate and government affairs for the Placid Refining Company, LLC, an independent and privately owned, oil and gas company, where he is responsible for corporate structure, human resources, and external affairs. Prior to joining Placid, Tyler was the president and general counsel to Louisiana Mid-Continent’s Oil and Gas Association, a state oil and gas trade association representing all facets of oil and gas industry, including refining, marketing, exploration, production, and transportation.

Earlier in his career, Tyler served as an attorney in the Department of Natural Resources, Office of Conservation and for the City of New Orleans.

He graduated with a B.A. in Economics from James Madison University in Virginia, received his J.D. from Loyola University in New Orleans, and M.B.A. with a specialization in economics from Louisiana State University. Tyler is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and currently serves on several public and private boards and commissions.
