Global Engagement Spotlight: Nia Belle

It’s time for another student spotlight from LSU’s global community! Nia Belle is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and has achieved either the Dean’s or President’s honor roll every semester of her degree. Her research passion is renewable and alternative energy, and in the future she plans to work in power generation.

Originally from Dominica, the Nature Island of the Caribbean, Nia chose LSU because of the exceptional LSU College of Engineering and the school’s reputation for research. When asked what she enjoys about the LSU community, Nia responded, “The availability of resources to help students succeed and the willingness of staff to provide assistance.”

In addition to Nia’s academic success, she currently serves as the Co-Assistant Director of International Student Affairs on the executive board of the LSU student government, where she enjoys providing guidance and support to other students.
