
Biography
Rebecca “Becky” Sadler is a respected leader in advertising, career guidance, and community engagement whose career reflects sustained excellence, service, and professional advancement. With a foundation in graphic design and extensive experience across agency, print, nonprofit, and higher education sectors, she has dedicated her professional life to strengthening the advertising industry while supporting the next generation of communications leaders.
Becky earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Louisiana Tech University. She began her career in design and print production before advancing into commercial printing sales, where she successfully managed and expanded high-value corporate accounts. Her work in sales and client service required strategic thinking and relationship management in competitive, deadline-driven environments. She later transitioned into advertising agency account management, collaborating with creative, digital, and media teams to develop integrated campaigns and deliver measurable client results.
Her professional trajectory evolved toward higher education, where she currently serves as Student Engagement and Outreach Manager for the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication. Previously serving as a Career Coach within the LSU Olinde Career Center, Becky has become a trusted advisor to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in advertising, public relations, journalism, and related fields. She provides individualized career guidance, facilitates employer connections, and develops structured programming that bridges academic preparation with professional expectations.
Becky has created and led several signature initiatives that have significantly enhanced student engagement and career readiness. These include the Advertising & Communications Networking Event, Manship Networking at Night, the Fall Manship Etiquette Dinner, AI in Advertising Roundtables, and the Louisiana Scholastic Press Association Invitational. Through these programs, she has connected hundreds of students with industry professionals, employers, and alumni, opening workforce pipelines and fostering meaningful mentorship opportunities.
In 2024, she completed certification in Foundations of Career Navigating and Coaching, reinforcing her commitment to ethical, inclusive, and evidence-based career development practices. Her work emphasizes equitable access to opportunity, professional preparedness, and sustained mentorship.
Becky’s leadership within the American Advertising Federation of Baton Rouge (AAF-BR)
and AAF District 7 has been equally impactful. She has served in numerous executive
roles, including President, Vice President of the American Advertising Awards, Community
& Diversity Chair, Membership Chair, Ex-Officio Advisor, Club Historian, and District
Regional Director. During her presidency, she led significant organizational growth
in fundraising, sponsorship development, award show participation, and community outreach.
She was honored as AAF District 7 President of the Year, and under her leadership,
AAF-BR was recognized as District Club of the Year.
Becky has served AAF District 7 as Awards & Scholarships Chair, Club Achievement Chair
and Regional Director. She was recognized with the Bolton MacVicar Award in 2025 and
in 2026 was presented with the E.A. Pete Goldsby Silver Medal Award, the highest personal
honor presented by AAF-Baton Rouge.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Becky has remained deeply committed to civic and community initiatives, contributing her expertise to Junior Achievement of Baton Rouge, Dialogue on Race Louisiana, The Futures Fund, and other nonprofit and service organizations. Across each endeavor, she has demonstrated a consistent dedication to education, mentorship, and community advancement.
