LSU Health New Orleans, Pennington Biomedical Use AI to Unlock a Person's Ideal Diet
September 20, 2022
LSU Health New Orleans and LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center recently partnered to leverage new technologies, including artificial intelligence, or AI, in the fight against diet-related disease and health disparities in Louisiana.
“We know what the best proposed diets are at the population level, but not yet on the individual level,” said Eric Ravussin, LSU Boyd Professor at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. “We’re now at a point where we can take advantage of new technology, such as artificial intelligence, to uncover individual differences and make better predictions for how a change in diet can impact a person’s health.”
With eight institutions spanning Louisiana and all levels of higher education and research, LSU facilitates and promotes interdisciplinary research to meet the challenge of improving the state’s health outcomes head-on.
