BATON ROUGE, LA -- LSU Biological and Agricultural Engineering Assistant Professor Debnath Maji has received a Rapid Impact Research Award from the American Heart Association to investigate why people with cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome may face an increased risk of harmful blood clot formation.

LSU Mechanical Engineering Professor Guoqiang Li will serve as the new Associate Dean for Research in the College of Engineering where he will work closely with Dean Vicki Colvin to grow the college's research enterprise across every department. He will also lead the College of Engineering Research Working Group, support faculty as they develop competitive proposals and new partnerships and help faculty teams pursue large center-scale research.
