These Resources are available to assist faculty with OERs, and may include but are not limited to case studies, PowerPoint presentations, articles, websites, courses, workshops, Teaching/Learning Strategies, and examples and case studies.
Defining the "Open" in Open Content and Open Educational Resources
The terms "open content" and "open educational resources" describe any copyrightable work (traditionally excluding software, which is described by other terms like "open source" that is either (1) in the public domain or (2) licensed in a manner that provides everyone with free and perpetual permission to engage in the 5R activities:
- Open Pedagogy Approaches edited by Alexis Clifton and Kimberly Davies Hoffman - an anthology of case studies about library-teaching faculty collaborations to transform courses with open pedagogy.
- Open Pedagogy: A Systematic Review of Empirical Findings .by Viriginia Clinton-Lisell - an article that does a systematic review of the empirical findings on open pedagogy. Great for understanding the scholarly landscape for open pedagogy.
- Open Pedagogy Notebook an article by Robin DeRosa and Rajiv Jhangiani on open pedagogy.
- Open Pedagogy Notebook Examples - examples of open pedagogy in the classroom.
