Interested in our 3+3 Pre-Law Program?

For incoming students, if you are interested in 3+3, please inform a Mass Communication counselor prior to or during freshmen orientation course scheduling. 

Additionally, it is a requirement that every student visit a Mass Communication counselor before mid-term in the fall of freshmen year.

 

 

Laptop Requirements for Incoming Students

Students declaring a major or minor in mass communication are required to have their own laptop upon entering the first mass communication class. It should have access to wireless internet and be able to run Adobe Creative Cloud applications. 

• The choice of a PC or a Mac is based on personal preference. Adobe products and Microsoft Office are compatible on both operating systems.
• Please note, if you choose an Apple device, it should run OS X (laptop, not iPad) and not iOS (iPhone and iPad), as iOS will not run the Adobe products at this time.

System Requirements | Fall 2022

Recommended for Broadcast Students

• Please refer to Adobe’s website for system requirements to run Adobe Premiere Pro, which requires the most processing power.
• We recommend 512 GB Solid State hard drive, if possible. Broadcast students will record and edit in high def, which will take up substantial space.

Recommended for Design Students

• We recommend a minimum of 16 GB of RAM for Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro.

Recommended for Non-Design Students

• We recommend a minimum of 16 GB of RAM for Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro.
