4021 The American Constitution and Civil Liberties (3) – Prerequisite: POLI 2051 or equivalent. Political relevance of major federal constitutional limitations; property rights; First Amendment freedoms; rights of criminal defendants and ethnic minorities.
4022 American Constitutional Law of the Criminally Accused (3) - Prerequisite: POLI 2051 or equivalent. Political Relevance of major federal constitutional limitations with particular focus on the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth amendments and the criminal justice system.
4023 Judicial Politics (3) – Prerequisite: POLI 2051. Political role of U.S. state and federal courts; organization, staffing, financing; judicial policy making; public perception of the judicial process.
